We are a global, multi-site industrial pump re-engineering organization headquartered in Chicago seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to manage the implementation of our ISO 9001 quality program specific to the pump service and repair industry. This is a crucial position that will play an important role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations Managers and other key personnel located at our different sites throughout North America and internationally.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage the implementation of the quality program across the organization collaborating closely with the local QA teams and shop personnel. This will include welders, machinists and mechanics, shipping/receiving and engineering in multiple locations.
Develop implementation time frame(s) for the program. Drive ideas, solutions and progress across departments to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
Implement ongoing quality improvement processes within each facility. Ensure processes are in accordance with corporate policies, safety compliance and shop cleanliness.
Ensure compliance of policies as they relate to the quality program. Plan and communicate with key stakeholders in preparation of activities for all internal and external audits. Perform on site audits and evaluations of those requirements.
Standardize the QA program across all of our Hydro facilities. Be effective at addressing the specific needs of each facility.
Influence and manage change at all organization levels.
Have the proven ability to effectively educate, train and collaborate with colleagues about quality assurance methods and improvement tools.
Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes and corrective actions.
Utilize our ERP system accordingly.
Actively monitor project risks and identify potential problems.
Prepare for the certification process.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar.
Minimum of 3 years of Quality Assurance Management experience in a multi-site industrial environment. Must be able to lead projects/people, motivate and proactively anticipate and address issues.
Minimum of 3 years experience with Quality System development and/or improvement within a regulated environment (ISO9001).
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
Lean Six Sigma experience desired.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient level experience with MS Office and working with an ERP system.
Ability to travel within the US and internationally.
