Repair Coordinator

Overall Responsibilities: The Repair Coordinator supports a company-wide safety program and provides job status updates to Engineering, Quality Assurance and Production personnel. Additionally, they will provide technical support for procurement of materials, services and equipment required to complete repair and parts manufacturing. They will determine and provide costs summaries and quotations for repair and parts manufacturing and develop procedures, specifications, schedule input and detailed Travelers.

Key job functions:

  • Review customer Purchase Order requirements.
  • Analyze inspection results and work with engineering & management to develop quotations for projects that conform to customer requirements and company standards.
  • Assist engineering and QA in development of procedures, forms and customer inspection reports in accordance with company standards.
  • Open Sales Orders and Job Orders in Epicor ERP System.
  • Generate detailed disassembly, inspection, repair and assembly Travelers from Epicor for the Shop Floor.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for required materials, services and equipment used in repair and parts manufacturing. Consult with suppliers to confirm technical requirements can be met. Assist purchasing agent to identify potential suppliers and interpretation of technical requirements.
  • Review customer inquiries, purchase orders, and supplier quotations to assure technical acceptability.
  • Keep management & sales informed with up to date status of projects.
  • Communicate with customers if necessary in regards to repair requirements and project status. Communicate with engineering or SME to determine best processes needed to complete repairs. i.e. welding specifications, material upgrades, clearances and settings if not known, etc.
  • Continual interaction with shop personnel & supervision to ensure information is complete, parts and materials are on hand on a timely basis and provide technical support when needed.
  • Supports and cooperates in company-wide Total Quality Management (TQM) effort and participates in company-wide safety program, which includes following all safety policies and procedures.

Skills and attributes:

  • In depth knowledge of manufacturing, shop processes related pump repair, manufacturing of parts and related equipment.
  • A general knowledge of appropriate QA Policies and Procedures as they apply to HydroTex – Golden Triangle.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Computer skills, with proficiency in “Microsoft” software, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a service-oriented environment under pressure and against deadlines and customer requirements.Experience / Education:
  • 5 years of experience in a related capacity with knowledge of pumps, applications and hydraulics.
  • Multiple Hydraulic Institute training courses and seminars or similar pump training strongly desired.
